COVID-19 + Western Pharmacy Exchange:
The Show Will Go On!
As the largest statewide pharmacy association representing all pharmacy practice settings while concurrently promoting practices that ensure the health of all Californians, the California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is closely monitoring the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the safety of our attendees and exhibitors at Western Pharmacy Exchange.
Western Pharmacy Exchange is taking place April 16-19, 2020, at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel, located in Orange County. We have been in communication with our host hotel to ensure that the Anaheim Hilton is taking all necessary precautions to minimize the threat of infection.
Additionally, Orange County has only had one case of COVID-19, and the patient has achieved a full, healthy recovery. At this time, the Orange County Public Health Agency has verified that the risk of infection is low.
Given these factors the California Pharmacists Association strongly believes that pharmacy professionals attending, or planning to attend Western Pharmacy Exchange will not be adversely affected by COVID-19 as long as individuals practice the following recommendations prior to arriving Western Pharmacy Exchange. In addition to the sanitation stations that will be located abundantly throughout the Anaheim Hilton Hotel, CPhA will place reminders throughout the conference to encourage healthy habits while you network, enjoy Celebrating the Past and Designing the Future with your colleagues.
CPhA prides ourselves on being an information resource to the members, partners, and the general public that we serve. The following resources are designed to minimize anxiety and are carefully chosen to provide the most useful information as you carry out your daily routine.
