Description
Pharmacists must remain up-to-date on all new drug approvals and withdrawals each year. Many unique and important medications were approved in 2016, and this module will describe newly approved agents in several therapeutic categories. Focus will be given to the most common drugs that pharmacists are likely to encounter in practice. The indications, dosing guidelines, adverse effects, and safety information will be discussed. Changes to existing drug formulations, indications, and labeling, as well as laws and regulations affecting patient care and pharmacy practice, will also be presented.
